PROTOCOLS

The health and safety of our community is always our first priority. Our procedures and protocols have been designed to help reduce the probability of COVID-19 transmission. The Desert Dose continues to regularly monitor the health updates provided by all local and federal agencies, and keep attendees informed of any changes. We are committed to making any necessary adjustments to our policies to ensure an ongoing healthy retreat environment.

PRE-RETREAT HEALTH SCREENING

All attendees will be requested to screen their health before arriving using the generally accepted Local and/or Federal COVID screening guidelines.

Prior to arriving, if attendees have experienced any of the following situations, they should not attend:

  • feeling ill or have symptoms including, but not limited to: fever, cough, sore throat, headache, trouble breathing, tiredness, aches and pains, diarrhea, nausea, etc.

  • having been in contact with a sick person within the last 14 days.

VACCINATIONS
It is highly suggested that attendees are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. However, because all of our group activities at our retreats are inherently outdoors, we do not require attendees to be vaccinated.

AT THE RETREAT

  • Hand sanitizer will be readily available at all food/beverage areas.

  • Please cough and sneeze into your sleeves, not hands.

  • First Aid situations: Our staff carries PPE in first aid kits and before attending to an injured person, sanitizes their hands, puts on a face mask and gloves.

  • Carpooling: If attendees carpool to/from trailheads, they are encouraged to wear a mask inside the vehicle.
